My family and I wanted Something's Fishy for their teppanyaki dinner but the wait was 45 minutes. So we decided to go to Fatburger. The restaurant wasn't very clean but the employees were super nice. We go the following: Small Strawberry shake ($4): yummy :) :) :) Kids plain Hot dog ($4): It's just a hot dog, you can't really go wrong Kids plain burger ($4): My daughter ate it, so I guess it was good. Double Turkey Burger ($7): My husband liked it. This wasn't what we wanted for dinner but it was still good and the employees were great.

Oh Fatburger...how I once dubbed thee the King of Burger Eateries.....YOU SUCK. Officially. The last time we were here with our WHOLE FAMILY (and we are talking our MALIBU family-did I mention is a BIG GROUP?!) was for our daughter's dance recital requested by our daughter. Upon walking in, we noticed it was rather empty so we grabbed a few chairs and tables (this is when the booths were torn and beat up, no one can sit on them for fear of a spring poking areas it should not) and put them together. After getting all the orders on our phone under our "Notes" we repeated the order for the 10 people. Now, for 10 people I understand it will get crazy and SOME orders might be wrong. Totally forgivable....as the burgers came out seasoned and of course DELICIOUS. We did have to return a few (4) burgers as they were WRONG but, they fixed it and gave us a few "free coupons for your next visit". Did I mention, this is YET another NEW Manager?! Fast forward to Tuesday August 26th, 2015. We came in with ONLY 3 of us.....YES. THREE! Again, I got everyones orders on Notes and walked up to the counter and proceeded to order. Now, bear in mind, I have my 6 month old with us. SURELY they will take SERIOUS and NECESSARY steps to NOT screw up our order right!? I placed the order EXACTLY like this: 1 medium bacon CHEESEburger lettuce and tomato VERY little ketchup and little mustard 1 order skinny chill cheese fries 1 order of chocolate shake, no whip (what we got: 1 medium cheeseburger with the works *ketchup and mustard* slathered. The bacon, the $1.00 I paid extra for was ONE PIECE torn in HALF!? Back in the days it was TWO pieces "X"....OMG....SERIOUSLY!!!! My daughter spent the entire meal, digging out the onions and ate only 1/4 of the burger-milk shake had a glop of whip on top *fine, daughter will get 3 days worth of sugar high*) 1 small with the works very light ketchup and light relish and water (what we got: 1 small CHEESEBURGER slathered with ketchup and relish. End result, my mother's burger fell apart) 1 medium with the works NO RELISH A-1 sauce on side and water (what we got: 1 medium CHEESEBURGER with relish with my sauce on the side though!) Note: Fatburger's "The Works" shows on their board as pickles relish mustard mayo tomatoes onions lettuce I had to return ALL THREE BURGERS as my daughters burger was missing the bacon. It was returned with "the bacon is at the bottom". I opened the burger and noticed the bacon was this pathetic tiny piece of bacon torn in half...enough for ONE bite...yes folks, I paid $1.00 for this piece of SH*T. Did I mention we had to wait for the burgers for my mom and myself to be REMADE which took additional time. With a 6 month old, it feels like an hour. About 5-8 minutes later, our burgers show up, my 6 month old is restless, my 10 year old is angry and me for not making sure her order was perfect and my mom insisting that this is her last time coming to Fatburger. What she said was "How can this place be so good 8 months ago with 10 people, screw up our order and still tasting amazing and now with the 3 of us, they screw up the order so much that the burger has NO FLAVOR?! This place is not good anymore. I thought you repeated the order 3 times and corrected the guy three times!?" HE even repeated the order CORRECTLY to me but when I looked at the slip...it was inputted incorrectly. Our burgers itself, the patty, that once has the "flavor" was VOID of flavor. As a matter of fact, bland would be the word. I had to use salt and pepper to season our patties.... :( *do we have to pay extra for seasoning? is it an add-on?* Fatburger, you officially suck. I dislike with deep passion, your employees who treat the job as if it is just a "part time gig". If it puts money in your pocket, and you are able to pay for your life needs...you should treat it with respect. Hence, treat your PAYING customers with the UTMOST respect and get their orders RIGHT. Worst $28 dollar meal ever. Already told the family about this and guess what....they will not be repeating business here again.

Nice. Maybe I was starving, or maybe it was just getting carried away in a moment, but my small one with pretty much everything WAS AWESOME. Great service, fast spatulas, and great fries...what more do ya want? I like it, yo!

I love Fatburger and have for quite sometime. The burgers are well seasoned and they make a pretty satisfying sandwich. For just the burgers I would give them a solid 4 stars, but their pricing is high especially for the kids meal. $8 for a standard kids meal, $9 if you want cheese on it. I'll always have a soft spot for Fatburger and will continue to go but I just might have to leave the kids at home :)

The receipt says, "The Last Great Hamburger Stand," which is clever. The food is really good, and I didn't have any problems with the folks who work here. My turkey burger was just as well-made and garnished as my friend's large hamburger. The fat fries were ok, but the onion rings were a miss. My turkey burger and fries (no drink) came to $8.99. My main problem with this store is the overall cleanliness. The floors were filthy and sticky. The outside patio had food wrappers still left on tables. Everything feels like it has a light coating of grease on it. Would I go back? Sure, but this "Last Great Hamburger Stand" shouldn't be on anyone's top ten list.

Fatburger is one of the good places when craving a burger, their decor and everything else inside is just dated and old. "Trisha" a employee of this Fatburger is very nice, polite and helpful.

We do not have Fatburger in Texas so I just had to pull over when I saw this. I kid you not I was driving and Ice Cubes it was a good day came on the radio and the fatburger lyric came on. If that is not a sign, I dont know what is. I ordered a small burger with onion rings and my sister ordered the same with fat fries. It was so tasty, it certainly beats every fast food chain burger Ive tasted in Houston. However, this particular location was dirty, tables needed to be wiped they were sticky and some had ketchup all over them!

First time to walk in to this burger joint. Good burger, but WOW! Bad service. I asked if they serve unsweetened iced tea. She says yes... But they really ran out of iced tea and promised to refill only to find out, they were totally out!!! I was the only customer ordering. The place was empty around 5:10 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I asked if I got the skinny burger? And the kid behind the grill says "uhhhh" all clueless. Really??? They moved really slow. It took forever to get out of there. I was so upset, grab the bag and dashed out of the door with a very very sweet lemonade instead of offering a refund for the drink. Will I ever go back? Maybe not! In and Out burger was a lot better for less money and the skinny fries tasted like a typical frozen fries you buy at the market. Nothing special about this place.

Just went in today for a to go order, Ordered two med burgers, 2 FF and one med drink. Got home, only one burger and the FF and the drink. Girl was too busy talking with her co-worker when she was taking my order. Did not even read back my order to check if she had it all. Double check next time you come here. Beside this mistake, the food is done well and always yummy.

I got their new western burger which tasted like a beaten cowboy and by that I mean The meat was dry, the bacon was dry and their onion rings tasted like all batter. My girlfriend got their veggie burger which she liked but she also said their onion rings tasted like ass. Denny's has better burgers and fries. What a waste of money. Won't be back.

How can you say anything bad about Fat Burger! This was my first time at a fat burger and I am in love. I ordered the medium sized burger with fries and it was excellent. The lemonade was good. This location was very clean, the wait was a bit long, but worth it i guess. I would have given a 5 star but the fries were not salted... did I miss something or did they forget? Anyway Fat Burger is delicious and the staff was Friendly and great.

Craving one right now! I usually have the Large with everything, but tried the XL and it was huge the last time. How some of these folks do it without placing a strain on our health care system I have no clue. I love these burgers, not fan of the fries or anything else here, nut with a name like Fatburger while else would one come here. Service is always good and I love that I can call ahead make an order and not wait there as I usually get hounded for autographs being that I'm a celeb in the hood.

These guys suck at making burger. They always seem to burn every burger coming out of the kitchen. They only serve the burger one way . Well done AKA burnt. Avoid this miserable excuse for a burger joint!!!!

  • Mane S.

I'm not a fat burger type of person or any burger for that matter. I hardly ever eat burgers because of the calories, however with that said this place was amazing. I ordered a medium burger for my brother with bacon and everything on it and he loved it. Now their fries was one of the best. My niece doesn't eat fries and she finished the entire bag of fries by herself (first place she has even bothered to eat the fries)

After reading so many "Best Burger in LA" flyers, and seeing all the comparisons to In-N-Out, I was stoked when one of my colleagues suggested that we eat at Fatburger for lunch! Unfortunately, Fatburger not only fell short of my expectations, it fell flat on its face, and broke it's right zygomatic bone. My burger, while quite sizable, resembled a very large, very overcooked hockey puck. Typically when lunch time comes around i'm starving, and I have no problem devouring any meal without even a single drop of water, but at Fatburger I was constantly rotating between a cup of water and my burger.. Almost impossibly dry... WHHHYYYYYYY?! I WANTED TO LOVE YOU.. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME LOVE YOU?! I did however give Fatburger the benefit of the doubt, and offer a pity 2 stars because I'm assuming this isn't the norm and that my experience may have been an outlier. I'm sure i'll be back at some point, and I will adjust my review accordingly, but for now, Fatburger doesn't need my love. :(

I always order online so I don't spend a lot of time inside the business. I always get the XXXL and add bacon. Tried adding a 4th patty once and it was just too much food.

0 STARS! Beware-hair in burger and worst customer service provided after incident. Will never eat at a Fatburger again. Was given a partial refund for my burger but would not refund my wife's since they said it didn't have a hair and was what we ordered. Wife and I left disgusted!!! Please please insist on checking cleanliness and health rating of this place.

Love these guys!! Very polite staff at this location. My Fiance and I did the XXXL challenge at this spot too!! Look for our photo on the wall with all of the other fat champions!! lol....

Every surface feels greasy in this joint, but the juke box plays good tunes, the staff is super attentive and friendly, and the burgers are great with excellent chili. The chili-dogs are too hard to eat without making a mess so I stick to the burgers.

    (4)
  • Isabella B.

Really good burgers! You choose the size of the patty you want and go from there. I had the smallest burger which was the perfect amount of food for me considering I love devouring sides with my burger. B got the large, which was also pretty decently sized. Too bad B didn't convince me to get the french fries--instead I ordered the onion rings which were sorely disappointing. You could see the oil dripping off right into the dish and the onions were still crunchy on the inside, like there wasn't enough breading and they weren't cooked long enough. The ranch that came with the onion rings tasted like the cheap bottle of ranch you can buy at the grocery store. The service wasn't that great either, the young man at the counter barely smiled while taking our order. Overall, not too bad. Stay away from the onion rings. It's in the same parking lot as the Ralph's and Sprouts and Jerry's Deli, so watch out for stupid drivers that aren't paying attention while they whiz in and out of the aisles.

$27 for two small cheeseburgers, two small drinks, one chilli fries and one regular fries and three chicken strips. Burgers lacked flavor and so did the chilli.

FOOD The food was... okay. Let's start with the crazy burger that was a mixture of love and hate. The meat was clearly top quality meat. It was flavorful and juicy make me go MMMM MMM GOOD, however that's where the burger ends. Its like they spent all their time figuring out how to make meat but forgot a burger comes with more than meat and bread. First of all, do not advertise your photo of a burger with cheese, then when you give me my food there is no cheese. DO I LOOK LIKE I TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT? GIMMME DAT CHEESE! Clearly cashiers should ask for something like that. Upsale for you, and less confusion for me. (and cheese) (wheres the cheese?) The toppings on the burger were nothing special as well. Next to the fries. The fries were sup-bar if best. (Seems the workers thought so too, they were eating them behind the counter too.) They were not the best but not the worst. Food alone gets a half star. PRICE WOAH it's way too expensive. I travel a lot, so how can you justify a franchise charging so much for just sub-par food. Even worse, when I asked for a meal with my burger they said they only do it individually, SO WHY ARE THERE MEALS ON YOUR MENU?! Which goes to the service. Price gets no star. Too expensive, and quality did not justify the cost. SERVICE Just the guy behind the counter made no sense. Why can I not order a meal when your menu has MEALS! And why did he not offer cheese on the burger when I said I wanted a burger like the picture. This guy was no help at all. It was made even worse when I saw one of the people behind the counter eating. The lady who took the food slapped it on our table, and just left without any question to us or anything. Service needs desperate help. Call Gordon Ramsey these guys are so dang confused. Oh and they're hiring so if you want to eat while you working, and then take some food home after WORK HERE! IT IS THE PLACE TO WORK. They get no star for service. CLEANLINESS The place was just, kind of clean. The soda fountain looked DISGUSTING. It looked like some kind of sticky mess. Who KNOWS what it could have been. The water wouldn't even come out. THIS IS LA, IT IS HOT, I AM THIRSTY, I WANT WATER. But the water barely worked. The condiment section was hardly clean. At least the tables were empty and cleaned, probably cause no one goes there. Half a star for cleanliness. BONUS STAR This I discuss anything that stood out as exceptionally good or bad. Sorry to say but what really grinded my gears was their tiny little baby sized ketchup cups. Do I really need to go get ketchup every 2 minutes cause I used it all up? I don't drink ketchup, but come one, help a homie out. I NEED DAT KETCHUP. OH AND DONT FORGET THE CONFUSING MENU. DONT TRUST IT. ITS LIKE THEY DECIDED "Hey lets lie to people on the menu so they look like idiots when they order" So no, sorry but you get no stars for any bonuses.

  • A M.

It says the price range here is "under $10", good luck getting anything that will fill you up in that price range. This place is pretty pricey. Also make sure you ask for cheese if you want cheese because they assume you don't want cheese (even though all their pictures are of burgers with cheese). Cashier was pretty rude too honestly. Workers were also eating while cooking in the kitchen. The food was okay.

The fat burger challenge was pretty intense me and the homies Lance and Alec went all the way I mean all the way in *Lil B voice haha. Seriously we wanted our picture on the wall, so we order the xxl challenge and was in awe of how small it was j/k it was huge. Once we started lance and Alec made rookie mistakes by eating fast like fat fools smh. While I on the other hand was taking my time finessing every bite. Half way through this battle Ashley started taking pictures of our near heart attack faces as we suffered through every bite. At one moment I recall lance about to give up and then suddenly start eating French fries after the statement "I can't do it dude" ..... Like really bruh you gone eat some more fries though. Towards the end I finished mine like an Og should and I started to watch these fools suffer through the last bits and they finished like OGs too! Overall we killed this challenge and fat burger has to come harder haha nah but forreal that burger is diabetes waiting to happen and don't expect to eat anything for days after this! Ps shoutout to Ashley for filming our health drop.

Raeanna "Employee Of The Month" 100 % NOT ! Lets start with the always fun tongue stud. There's nothing like going to the front counter and talking to a girl with a tongue stud. Your lucky if you can understand anything that come out of there pie hole. Of course it was a back and forth messed up conversation. Oh well now the next item. Restaurant cleanliness. This restaurant, it was filthy! Most of the tables had not been wiped down. While I sat at my table I watch the employee's walked by the dirty tables and not even give a glance at them. Also the bathroom was filthy and no lock on the door, nice touch. Receive our burgers and fries. Burgers are great and fries were okay. Here's the thing. If anybody ask me who has the best burger in town, it is always Fatburger.... Hands Down! But this restaurant should regrouped and start over. When you walk into a restaurant and slap down $30 bucks for two hamburgers a thing of fries and two medium drinks you should be getting a lot better service and a clean restaurant than this.

One Friday night, I decided to enjoy a fat burger. I checked yelp and yelp showed me that fatburger was open until 2am. I arrived at fatburger at 12:30am and the sign said they were open until 1am. I thought "fair enough". I tried to then open the door and I see that they decided to close early and lock the doors. Well... At least in n out is open late.

Fatburger. What else really needs to be said. As their tagline says: The Last Great Hamburger Stand! I've been a longtime fan of Fatburger. This particular location is no exception. The food is always top notch and I've yet to have a poor experience. I've been at different times from right at opening, midday, and evenings and the employees are always on the ball. The food is amazingly good, and though it could be considered a bit on the higher end of the pricing scale it is actually a very good value for the large portions and quality of the food. If you want cheap go to Jack-In-The Box but be prepared for the poor quality. As they say you get what you pay for and I'm more than happy to pay for Fatburger. A few points they could improve on at this particular location would be the cleanliness of the restrooms, and the drink station. Besides that they do a great job.

Fat burger is actually worthy of being kinda like happy to have made the choice to throw it down... like a guilty pleasure of sorts but not like totally debauched. Just a little naughty. The food is of a really good quality and the service is ALWAYS good, when I go there, that is. No telling how they will treat you. If you want good service, you gotta help bring that out in people. You gotta like use your Yelper force and wave yo hand in front of their face when you tell them that you will have the medium, with cheese, and fat fries, and that they will make it like they are making it for Obama and if he likes it es gunna give em a new house, on the beach, in Malibu. So, assuming they stick to the level of execution they are capable of, you will have a GREAT GREAT all American crave-worthy burger here. Love that sweetness of relish and the carmelization / crust on the meat, and I even like the kind of ice the ice machine spits out... like little round bits of hail in your lemonade. The one thing this location needs to work on is cleanliness. It can get rather sticky icky icky up in this spot...and I like my cleanliness on point, ya heard me? Betta ax somebody.

Okay burgers with bad customer service. It took couple minutes to get attended and welcome. The worst part was that there was nobody in restaurant at the time except the employees and they didn't even apologize for the wait. Smh I would prefer to go to burger king with less tasting burgers but better customer service.

    (2)
  • Sabrita R.

The worst service ever we went there for lunch and the restaurant was empty when we got there, we ordered our food and the staff was super slow in getting our food we waited over 30 mins to get the food and when we got it the food was cold my burger was cold and the lettuce was cold and soggy. We asked for no tomatoes and they put tomatoes in our food. People that came before us was still waiting for their food and most everybody walked out of there. We walked out and got our money back and ended up going to jack in the box for lunch.i wouldn't recommend that place to anyone honestly jack had better burger than they did.

First time trying Fatburger and it was pretty good. Don't really have much to say about it. The guy taking my order was pretty rude and cared more about moping the floor then being helpful to us. The burger itself was pretty good not going to lie. I'm not sure how id compare it to the other burger places close by. Probably equal if not just under in-n-out but i would say The Habit was a friendlier place and the food was better. Would still come back again.

  • Rachel N.

Been to other fat burgers before & love that they will put an egg on your burger! I order the kids burger & my husband the medium one. Both came out missing the extras that we paid for. Brought it to their attention & they quickly fixed it. Reason for low rating is the burgers were extremely dry & the egg was way over cooked. The fries also tasted old. Gave 2 stars cause the staff was nice.

  • Kitty E.

SO GOOD! Kind of pricey here, but OK. Totally worth the price! The burgers are big and juicy, not very busy, and nice. Staff was very friendly and the resturaunt was very clean. The burger-SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! Very juicy, yummy, and delicious. The bun was slightly crunchy, which I liked. French fries were delicious! Not too bland, not too salty, just right and perfectly crispy. Wonderful place! Definitly coming back!

  • Cesar C.

Came back for a 3rd time, and the service is still terrible at this place! I'm the only person in line, they see me and yet nobody cares about taking my order! Guy taking my order is rude and still asks me if I want to leave a tip!? This place is a joke! Service at the fat burger in Ventura is way better! Last time I'll be here for sure!

  • Kathy H.

This is truly the last really good, honest hamburger. Forget In-N-Out, this is a REAL burger. Not frozen, but fresh ground beef cooked right in front of your eyes. It's incredibly flavorful, juicy, and loaded with fresh toppings. The fat fries rock too! Their topping list is awesome, and I believe this is the only place that actually lets you put an egg on your burger. Another nice touch is the size options. You can order anything from a 2.5 oz. patty, all the way up to multiple layers guaranteed to increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. This particular location could use a bit more staff training, but the burger is sooooo good that I overlook that.

  • Andy S.

3 strikes and you're out (see below / last review). Worse than last time and this time they put mayo on my burger after asking for none. Much better Fatburger at the beach but the one on Sepulveda by Costco in Van Nuys is now the only one safe to go to

    (1)
  • Sarah K.

This particular location was fairly clean, except for the floor. The floor was filthy. We did not like the chili fries; the chili tastes like hormel canned chili. Although I'm generally a steak fry fan, the thin fries are fantastic. As good as, if not better, than McDonald fries!! LOVE. They have coke zero - yay. And as always, I get a fried egg on my burger. That makes me happy. Their burgers are a little on the saltier side, but I really do love me the fatburger.

25 min wait for 4 burgers!!!! And when they gave me the food it was ice cold. Cook was arguing that he just finished the order when I saw my to go package sitting on the counter for a while!!!

Broke cherry today and had my first Fatty....Yeah, I'm diggin' it. Big burgers with lottsa toppings, made to order. My kinda burger. Not a real fan on the bun, even if they are fresh. I don't like buns that flake out. I don't like anything that flakes out for that matter. I know it's blasphemous to not put In-n-Out on a pedestal but I never really got what the fuss was about. Same goes for 5 Guys. Small and flat is not where it's at. This is L.A., big, voluptious, full-bodied....burgers! That's what I'm talking about.

  • Lily X.

Best burger in the area!!!! I love the fat fries too. They make it to order so sometimes it takes a while, but it's always worth it. Great shakes also.

  • Lily A.

I've been to other Fatburger locations, and the burgers were ok. Today I was starving at lunch, and so I decided a burger would be nice. Something is wrong with this Fatburger location. My burger was just awful.

    (2)
  • Darby C.

Fat burgers are the best. However I've been to this location more than a handful of times and there's always something lacking. There isn't as much emphasis on producing a quality product that some of the other fat burgers in the area have, most noticeably the Panorama City location. That being said, fat burger still beats most burger joints, and yes it's a little more expensive, but as with most things... you get what you pay for. I'd rather have higher quality meat and ingredients than save a buck or two. So although I don't rave about this particular location, I still stop in for a bite from time to time.

If you don't want to eat anything else in the same day, this will be your best choice. I got the medium fat burger. It made me so full. I have never felt full like this one :P It tastes good. the price is average fast food price.

Of all the fatburgers I've been to this is one of the only locations that has a, "Ranchero Burger" which is best served with their scorching death valley sauce. As far as I'm concerned any burger with an egg from Fatburger is always awesome. I like how you don't feel gross even when you consume a lot of calories here haha! I had the burger as my pre-workout and didnt feel slow at all so, I believe it is top quality meat. Order over the phone and give it 5 mins! The fries could definitely use some work.

  • Robert R.

The food here has always been tasty, but something has recently been striking me as a little off. The employees here consistently seem pissed off or depressed. I don't expect the over-the-top saccharine cheer of Johnny Rockets, but here it seems like they're all just one minute away from slitting their wrists.

Food is great but service needs to be improved. We got there with my wife and son. The guy on the register was on the phone and took all the time he need it to hang up and help us. No people skills!

Hit up Fatburger after my disastrous Cuipid's experience today. The guy that took my order today was one happy guy. You could tell he really liked working there. I wish I could be half as happy with my job as this guy was today with his. I was greeted with a big smile and a "Welcome to Fatburger Sir, What can I get for you?" Make it a medium cheese burger with everything on it and a water for here Son! "Coming up!" I swore I would never do this but I did today. Please don't judge me. I got my cup of water and squeezed two lemon wedges into it. Then I put 4 or 5 sugars in there. Free lemon aid! I feel so ashamed. Happiest dude in the world brings me my burger. It's a thing of beauty only a fat man like myself could really appreciate. Delicious! Fatburger is running a very close second to the Habit Burger Grill. I love you Fatburger.

Fat cut fries fried to perfection with the exception of the few semi soggy fries in the mix. Burgers cooked so darn well it's amazing how perfect it is from the fresh ingredients to the warm and lightly toasted buns... I love that they have pepperonis available near the ketchup, that's the perfect addition of spice to a burger. Be sure to get chilli on the side to dip those fries in or add it onto your burger. Fatburger will always be in my top five favorite burgers. I also love the hours of operation, they're open until 1am on Friday and Saturdays and midnight all other nights. Not to mention they're open at 10 am every day. They have a punch card for each time you purchase a burger and on the tenth one you get a free burger. I wish more places would serve burgers like this. The M size burger is fitting if you're looking for a complete meal, but if you're not so hungry get the smaller ones. I'm not really sure who can eat the double patties or take the fatburger challenge. It's really delicious, but I don't think I'd risk cardiac arrest for a hat, tee shirt, and photo on the wall.

I have driven by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. The burger was good. The quality of ingredients used were very good. The fat fries were awesome. the only bad thing is that it is on the pricey side $8 for a small combo.

Love Fatburger, especially the skinny fries and banana millkshake. They have seasoning salt to sprinkle on your fries & stuff which makes them taste YUMMERS!! Also love that they have turkey burgers on the menu, two thumbs up from me for Fatburger!!!

Today was my first time there. I've always wanted to try this place, at least once. Not knowing what to order and kind of on a budget, I ordered the small deal. The burger was about the size of a hockey puck and tasted like one. They grilled my onions upon request. Somehow I missed the part about mustard on their burgers, which i dislike. I love pickles and therefore love me some pickled relish. I dislike sweet relish so I inquired which one they used. The cashier had to ask 3 co-workers before getting an answer that it is sweet relish. Service was slow, it was lunch hour rush so it was understandable. While I eagerly waiting my food i enjoyed my orange pop with crushed ice. The burger did taste homemade, but the I don't feel I received the value for what I paid. I could make a better burger at home with store bought frozen steak fries. Matter of fact, I will this weekend! Overall I was disappointed and probably won't go back because right off the top of my head I can think of about 10 burger joints that are better that I know are good and I'll stick to. Examples, In and out, Tommy's, the habit, the hat, 5 guys, Bob's big boy, Fuddruckers, Johnny Rockets, Michael's burgers, even Mickey D's quarter pounder beats this burger.

I had a fat burger, the fat fries and the onion rings, and shared a chocolate shake. I like that they have a selection of both the skinny and the steak fries. The food was delicious, but they don't have ranch for the onion rings. The flavors were great though, and they have tons of extras and condiments. The shake was a nice consistency but for the price, the size was small. I like the atmosphere and the hours, open late! It was also a little pricey overall, $30 for two people is a little steep for a fast food joint but it was good food so I guess that's okay. Overall it was good and I will go back but it will be a treat, not a regular thing.

I love burgers and fries so you can't really mess that up in my book unless you gave me the wrong burger. That's what they did here. I haven't been to a fatburger in years so I was in the neighborhood visiting a friend and we came here for lunch. I asked what was in the Ranchero Burger (I think that was what it's called) and was told there were jalepenos in it and it came in mild, medium, or hot (which was called something else) and ordered it with cheese in mild. I've never had it before so when I got my burger, I was eating it and realized it wasn't spicy at all. Then I inspected it and found there were no jalepenos. I asked the cashier who told sold it to me if there were suppose to be any and all he said was "I can give it to you on the side" umm okay. So I put some in my burger myself. They were just the pickled jalepenos, nothing special. About another few bites into it, I realized there was no cheese in my burger. I was charged an extra 99cents for it. So I took my burger back to the same cashier and asked for my money back on the cheese. He gave me my dollar back (without the tax that I was charged but I didn't wanna be a bitch about it, I could've!). The skinny fries were good. When I was almost done eating the same cashier came and told me "just to let you know, there are suppose to be jalepenos in your burger." So I said "okay" and he replied "yeah I just wanted to let you know." WTF. I won't be coming back here.

Neighborhood joint for us...King cheeseburger on the charbroiler is still the bomb. As far as the recent spate of burger places that have opened Fatburger continues to be often imitated NEVER duplicated. Service can be spotty at times but as long as either George or Ana is on the shift everything is first class. Call in orders can be hit or miss , so check your order before you leave..

I really get irritated when anyone ever can talk about is In N Out. In N Out is yes cheap, but think about what you get, a REALLY thin patty, a ton of lettuce, and THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING. The fries at In N Out are HARDLY worth raving about because when I get them, they're all wilted anyway! With that said, yeah, it costs more than In N Out but you get MORE FOOD, so wtf do I care? Their food is consistent, I love their fat fries!!! Why don't more establishments serve steak fries? They are absolutely to die for and I can only find them at Delis :( My one gripe is that sometimes, the servers are too busy chatting to other people. Our order was placed over the phone and we came in when they told us and waited another 20 minutes to find out... IT WAS READY THE WHOLE TIME. The guy just didn't pay attention to the cook and let it sit. Therefore, my food was cold, and fries are just not good cold. Other than that, I love it. I love ordering online, I love that they're open till 2 am on the weekend, and I love online ordering! In N Out fanatics need to really get a life and stop going to every burger restaurant and slamming it on how much more expensive it is.

Too overpriced for what you get.. I rather get a burger elsewhere. Staff is generally nice. Inside isn't too big but it's enough. Parking is a large lot that is shared by numerous other businesses.

I was not impressed at all. I remember it back in the day when it use to have flavor. I tried it and it was laking some kind of flavor. Anyway i will go back for the skinny fries that was amazing. I recommend the fries not the burger. Sorry.

So at long last I tried the famous Fatburger! While there are quite a few locations in Southern California, they're still pretty much of a rarity north of Santa Barbara. Still, I'd heard many things, most of them good, so I had to give it a shot... This location in Woodland Hills is on the North side of Ventura Blvd, right across from Jerry's Deli. You walk inside and it looks like your typical fast food burger joint. It was 2:15 PM when I walked in and it was empty save for a lone customer waiting for his order to come up. I placed my order: Fatburger, skinny fries, and vanilla shake, and I waited about 15 minutes to get my food. That in itself is actually quite surprising, but I gotta say it was worth the wait: clearly that was a great and tasty burger, even if I still think that In-N-Out has a slight edge over them. The skinny fries were the best fries I've had in a very long time, far outshining those of In-N-Out or any other fast food joint around. The vanilla shake, though, for being freshly made with ice cream and costing me $3, wasn't particularly good. I mean, I guess I could tell it was fresh, but it didn't really taste so good. Fatburger: 4 stars Skinny fries: 5 stars Vanilla shake: 3 stars That averages out to 4 stars, which is about right. Still, I certainly would come back to Fatburger before considering any other burger joint, save for In-N-Out, which probably remains my favorite.

Dry, overcooked burger. Fat fries were ok. Honestly, even in-n-out would have been a better experience. Sorry.

Clean location. The French fries are sooo delish! Veggie burger isn't too bad either.

Okay, I've been to a few Fatburgers in my day but this one sucks. The employees have really crappy customer service, they act like you are bothering them. And the chili on my chili fries tasted like it was burned. Like the scraped it off them bottom of the pan and served it to me. I think they are under new management now at this location, things might be better.

Best burgers in the West Valley With out a doubt FatBurger has consistently proven to have the best all around burgers in the area. I've compared them to Tommy's, In-N-Out, and Five Guys and they are the top for me. They avoid some of the problems the other places have by using top quality meat, buns, and condiments.

Sorry but I just DON'T get the hype. Definitely has no right to cost more than In-n-out when it doesn't even compare.

I've been eating at Fatburger for years and I like their burgers. However the location in Woodland Hills, Ca., gets a BIG FAT "F" and a 1 star from me. I ate there a few weeks ago and was not pleased with the taste of my fatburger. I thought maybe it's because it wasn't seasoned enough. Well I ate there again last week and watched the guy put my burger on the grill and it was completely GREY. I told the cashier that I did not want that burger or any burger that is grey. She tried to tell me that it was because the air got to it and I told her I didn't care. So she went into the back and got me a fresh one. For those of you who read my review and actually eat there...please look out for this as it is not healthy to eat day old meat that is completely grey. It needs to be red/pink.

Open late = a star Close to my house = a star Western Burger!?! = 2 stars. That burger was soooo good. It's even better protein style. I like the fat fries too. I don't do fast food much, when I do it's usually Pollo Loco or some "healthy" alternative.

I really like Fatburger. I remember as a kid, first going to Fatburger at the location on the strip in Las Vegas. I also remember thinking that the name was hilarious. When I visit family in Vegas I tend to spend a fair about of time in the Station casino's. Many of them have a Fatburger in their food court. It is largely for this reason that I will almost always get a milkshake any time I spend more than a few hours gambling. Today I went to this location purely by coincidence. I was driving along with my roommate on our way to the store when I suddenly got a burger craving. After getting inside my roommate told me he had never even had Fatburger before. I was really glad I was able to show him how great their food is. This location did not let me down. Our service was quick. Both my roommate and myself are the kind of people who will ask for certain things to be left off our burgers and the employee's didn't make any mistakes on our orders. As we ate we discussed how much better this food was than what you would find at most burger places, fast food or otherwise. The prices at Fatburger do seem steep. I still love coming here, but I really love it when someone else is picking up the bill.

I'm giving it 4 stars based on the 20 times I went there before the last. Great burgers, a little bit pricey I suppose. Oddly, the last time I was there they had changed the menu and the burger/bun I had was really dry and sad. Hopefully it was a one time thing?

Fatburger is ok. It hits the spot. Their burgers, fries and onion rings are good, not extraordinary. Their turkey burger is not as good as I had hoped. I'll stick to beef.

Okay, I only gave the fatburger in Vegas 4 stars because of the ambiance, (if you can call it that), but in general, I prefer The Habit when it comes to burger stand burger joints. I get the turkey burger at Fatburger, and although it's okay, I never think it's worth $5. Then if you make it a combo, it suddenly jumps to $9.50. WHAT??!!!! The one I had today was actually one of the better Fatburgers turkey burgers I've had. Maybe that was because it took 15 minutes to come to our table, and we were the only people in the place! It was also awkward that the managers were having a meeting at the table next to us, discussing who were the 'problem' employees. Anyway, it was the easiest place to pull over to on VB Blvd during rush hour traffic.

1/2 lb chunk of meat + egg + bacon = what burgers are all about. This place has the best burger ever. If you want your patty to be thiner then your napkin, then go to McDonald's. But if you want a huge burger thats bigger then your head then this is the place for you. Also you better not leave without getting some Fat Fries. They also have Grilled Chicken sandwich thats pretty good, but everyone comes mainly for the burgers. I don't think I have to review the food much, because anyone who loves burgers have ate at a Fatburger before. The place itself is always clean, and there are plenty of tables. There is also a jukebox, which is pretty cool. If you're tired of the same ol' fast food burgers, stop by here ... you won't be disappointed!!

Not to keen on the service here. They seem not to care, maybe it's just this Fat Burger in Woodland Hills, most of time when I order a burger to be charred, they will put it on the grill. 2 and a half Stars for the fries. Wish they had another Fat Burger in the West Valley. Does the owner of this franchise ever visit that location? Guess I'll be going to Johnny Rockets for my Turkey Burger... I've given them to many chances.

I went here for the first time in maybe five or six years the other day to get an XXL with onion rings. I don't know about their smaller size burgers but if you are looking for a very large cheeseburger with all of the toppings this is on the same level of quality as In-N-Out. Fatburger epitomizes the Californian burger, but doesn't get the same press as In-N-Out because it isn't a drive through location. But this place has great quality with freshly cut onion rings and fries and burgers that will rival the best drive through and take out burger joints in the valley. I'm not saying their aren't better burger joints out there, but for $10 you will be very hard beat to find a better burger.

I could eat Fatburger for every meal. So good. They only miss the 5th star because the fries are inconsistent. Sometimes great, sometimes a little soft and undercooked (fat fries).

  • Matt M.

Fatburger is better than In-n-Out, and I'm not afraid to say that because I'm bigger than you and I could kick your ass. But, you have to eat it there. For whatever reason, the burger loses flavor as it loses heat. In-n-Out does not have this problem. Thus, a hot Fatburger is better than a hot In-n-Out burger. However, a lukewarm Fatburger is not as good as a lukewarm In-n-Out burger.

No where near the greatest - try average. Lot's of hype. Friendly folks. The cheeseburger was average, at best. The old school music is fun to listen to while waiting and dining. You're not missing a think if you choose to pass it by. Offers one or two seasonal items. If you ever get a chance, try a Five Guys burger and then come and talk to me again about claiming greatness. :)

Seriously the best burger, their chicken burgers are soooo juicy, their regular burgers a huge and delicious!!! I love the chili, sooo yummy on the fries... To add spice I always take the yellow peppers (by the ketchup) and add it to the burger!!! Seriously there is no burger like fatburger!
